I hope you enjoy this version of “We Are The World.” I covered this song for the music program “Music From Around The World” we are putting on at the school I contract with for Music In Our School Month celebrations! Each classroom will present a musical selection from a different country: North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia/Oceania. This was chosen as our schools theme song and the original from the USA Africa tribute will be played at the end of the concert to remember and honor those who participated in the original production.
The essence of this song is unity and in a world that is so divided by age, race, geography, spirituality, and many others…..music is one way we can come together and celebrate our difference!

If you’re thinking (like myself) that there is more that needs to be done in the next week than humanly possible…..then sit back, rest, relax, and listen to this “The Peace Carol.” A beautiful song originally performed by John Denver. I’m familiar with it from the John Denver and The Muppets Holiday Album…..one of our family’s favorites! My mother (Melinda) requested this song and I felt today was appropriate to share as a reminder that the gifts, the hustle, and the stress is NOT what this season is about. So please take a few minutes to rest, relax, and reflect!
I took a break from the extreme – multitrack- recording tonight as a reminder to myself that music, even the simplest of songs can mean just as much as the fancy stuff!
